Qualified employees of the Iloilo provincial government who have shown dedication to their duties are set to receive Christmas bonuses and other incentives before the year ends, the Association of Iloilo Provincial Government Employees (AIPGE) said on Tuesday.
AIPGE president Joecil Mayor said the Iloilo provincial government is qualified to receive the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) based on its 2017 rating.
For the PBB, Mayor said employees under the offices which belonged to the top four performing offices of the Iloilo provincial government will receive 65 percent of their salaries as bonuses; and employees who belong under the officers ranked fifth to 14 will receive 57.7 percent of their salaries. Employees who belong under the officers ranked 15 to 40, meanwhile, will receive 50 percent of their salaries. Employees are also entitled to a Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) that is equivalent to PHP10, 000 and the Performance Enhancement Incentive (PEI) of PHP5, 000.
“This is an incentive to our employees. There are a lot of awards that the province received this year and one of the factors is because (of) our diligent employees,” Mayor said.
“We can consider our Christmas merry this year because the previous years, we have not received this huge bonus from the Iloilo provincial government. This will bring joy to the employees and their families,” he said.
Mayor said 2,200 employees will be entitled to the said bonuses. It will also serve as an encouragement to the employees to maintain or even exceed their performances for next year, he added.
The SRI, meanwhile, will be released not earlier than December 20, as based on the Administrative Order 19 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte on December 2.
