2020 presidential election is just around the corner. As the rising number of the new resident, Immigration Agency Taoyuan service center invited 40 different new resident associations for a meeting with the Taoyuan district prosecutor office to promote anti-bribery on Nov 21st .
Prosecutor, Zeng Bo Han, talked about how to identify a bribery and introduced five stps to stop a bribery. First, get close to the candidate. Second, collect the evidence. Third, call and report. Fourth, make an accusation. Fifth, receive the reward if the bribery act is confirmed. The reward for reporting presidential election is up to 15 million, while the reward for reporting legislator election is 10 million.
During the event, the official showcased the promotion short film “Anti- Bribery Hero” to highlight the knowledge of anti-bribery. The manager of the immigration agency Taoyuan service team, Lin Wan Yi, said that the number of the new resident in Taoyuan has reached to 60 thousand, and the number of the first voter who gets the citizenship every year is rising. The official hope that the meeting can help the new resident understand their voting right and have the courage to stop a crime.
