Mayor of Taoyuan City, Zheng Wencan, attended the " New immigrants wedding dress show" held by Taoyuan New Immigrants Culture Hall on the 8th, and there were a lot of new residents' families and friends demonstrating their wedding dresses on the stage. Legislator Tang Huizhen, Minister of the Department of Cultural Affairs, Chuang Xiumei, City Councilor Lin Zhengxian, District Executive Chen Yuming, Director of the NIA's Tuayuan Service Center, Lin Wanyi, Amazing Wedding's general manager, Xu Wenxin, a teacher of the Nanya Institute of Technology, Chairperson of the Second Expertise Development Association, Liang Shuzhen, the founder and the current chairperson of the Vietnamese Spouses Rights Association, Feng Yuying and Ruan Qingli, and Head of "Qianshou Thai" (牽手泰) all attended the event.
Mayor of Taoyuan City, Zheng Wencan, indicated that Taoyuan City has promoted many new immigrant-friendly policies and hoped that new immigrants' families can be a part of Taoyuan's colorful life. Zheng Wencan stated that Feb. 8 was the Lantern Festival and also a little new year. 22 groups of sisters and families wore their wedding dresses and demonstrated them on the stage at the "New immigrants wedding dress show". He also wished everyone who was at the event good memories. Due to the epidemic, Zheng Wencan said, Writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez's novel, Love in the Time of Cholera, which tells a story that love can conquer all obstacles of time, space, class, and race. Every kind of love should be blessed, especially the love that overcomes difficulties. Zheng Wencan stated that when you cherish and contribute yourself to the loved ones, you'll find out eventually that all love is destined when you look back.
The Department of Cultural Affairs of Taoyuan City has held "Cross-national marriages-new residents' marriages exhibition" on the third floor of Taoyuan New Immigrants Culture Hall from today to March 1. In conjunction with the "New immigrants wedding dress show", Taoyuan invited many new immigrant women and their relatives to demonstrate their wedding dresses on the stage to introduce the uniqueness of their love stories.
