Those whose household registration has moved abroad, with national health insurance withdrawn since January 1st, 2018, as long as they return to Taiwan and restore their household registration during the period from January 1st, 2020, to June 30th, 2023, when registering in national health insurance, they may apply for the exemption of 6-month waiting period limit. Citizens of the Republic of China (regardless of whether they equip with national health insurance), non-nationals with national health insurance, and foreigners employed in Taiwan, including blue-collar migrant workers, white-collar applicants, lost migrant workers, and foreign fishermen employed in Taiwan, etc. Relevant expenses during the isolation and treatment of confirmed cases will still be covered by the government budget.
