As Chinese New Year is around the corner, National Immigration Agency (Taitung County First Service Center) and Taitung Brigade collaborated with Public Health Bureau, Taitung County, Taitung County Haiduan Township Office (海端鄉公所), and Tzu Chi Foundation (慈濟基金會) to set up a vaccination site at Kanah cian (加拿) community center to help foreign nationals and local residents get vaccinated.

Public Health Bureau, Taitung County & Taitung Brigade implement the “Carefree Covid-19 Vaccination Program” that adopts the principle of “Get vaccinated regardless of identity”. At the vaccination site, there are interpreters who provide English, Vietnamese and Indonesian translation services to help foreigners fill in vaccination agreement forms and get UI Numbers for vaccination purposes.

Huang Zhi Ming (黃志明), the commander of the Taitung County Brigade, stated that the “Carefree Covid-19 Vaccination Program” four principles, “won’t be reported”, “won’t be seized”, “won’t be charged for any fee”, “won’t be banned” to encourage foreign nationals, including undocumented migrant workers and overstayers to receive free vaccination. Besides, the Chief of Villages also distributed NIA’s flyers in different languages to disseminate the vaccination information among the community.
