The Ministry of Education (MOE) recently issued a letter requesting elementary and junior high schools to arrange the second dose of the BNT COVID-19 vaccine for adolescents aged 12-17 in the schools, starting from December 20. The scheduled dates should avoid important days such as final exams, the day of school term ends, General Scholastic Ability Test, and winter vacation.
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that adolescents aged 12-17 should receive their second dose of the BNT COVID-19 vaccine. A new version of the consent letter will be printed, and students and parents will be asked to fill in their forms again, starting in mid-December at the earliest.

Besides, students experiencing serious adverse reactions are allowed to apply for leave based on the principle of 3 days (including the vaccination day). Leave can be extended if it is necessary, and there will be no record of absence. Lastly, the school should also continue to follow the number of students who have experienced adverse reactions within 30 days of vaccination and conduct campus security reporting.
