Our Theatre helps new residents show confidence and charm through stage plays and promotes understanding and appreciation of the cultures from various countries. Starting from the "dream" this year, the show embarks on the imagination of a better life. The show has combined elements of singing & dancing, Taiwanese opera (歌仔戲), self-playing and self-singing, and multi-language. In addition, there are also interesting theater activities that explore, collect and compile participants’ life stories. The choreographer and director have created this wonderful and great 40-minute performance.
One of the students, Qiu Shu Ling (邱淑鈴), is a child of an Indonesian new resident and a reserved member of the Our Theatre. After returning from Indonesia in 2020, she discovered the beauty of Indonesian cafes, and this made her want to open a handmade dessert store. This dream became part of the plot which enables everyone to experience the recipe and deliciousness of "Cinnamon Rolls" together.

The Social Affairs Department of the Chiayi City Government stated that this project is entering its second year. Besides organizing a series of talks on exotic cultures and opening workshops for the public, the most important empowerment program looks for new residents and their children from Vietnam, Indonesia, China, the Philippines, and Nepal to share wonderful life stories and dreams together.
