The "Hands Together Project" was started by the Ministry of Education in order to encourage interactions between international college students and Taiwanese high school students. Eight international students from National Sun Yat-sen University were recently given an English-language tour guide by students from Tsoying Senior High School in order to show them to the picturesque areas surrounding Lianchi (Lotus) Lake in Kaohsiung and experience the local culture and history together.

Through field research and document sorting, students from Tsoying Senior High School translated the explanation's material into English and guided National Sun Yat-sen University's international students.

According to the course instructor (洪親慧), teachers and students used Tsoying as a classroom. The students were inspired and reinforced to have the confidence and ability demanded by the narrator after three months of preparation, under the collaborative instruction of the instructor, the students led foreign friends to explore together. For international students at National Sun Yat-sen University and Tsoying Senior High School, learning about the local culture and ecosystem of Lianchi (Lotus) Lake will be a very unique experience.
