Taiwanese film "City of Lost Things" selected for the 2021 New York Asian Film Festival

The New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF)‘s 20th edition, running from August 6 to 22, will feature six Taiwanese films.

The 3D animation "City of Lost Things (廢棄之城)" by director Yee Chih-yen (易智言), was shortlisted in the Uncaged Award for Best Feature Film Competition. It was also recognized in the Das Internationale Trickfilm-Festival Stuttgart and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

"City of Lost Things" cast includes Gui Lun-mei (桂綸鎂), Joseph Chang (張孝全), Huang He (黃河). The film won Best Animated Feature at the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival last year. This year, it was nominated for best animation, best art, best design, and outstanding technology.

Film director Yee Chih-yen said he was honored to be selected for the Uncaged Award for Best Feature Film Competition at NYAFF 2021. He hopes to gain more exposure and expected "City of Lost Things" to be released in the fall of 2021.
