After receiving BNT vaccines, one may experience side effects such as redness on the arm, pain, fatigue, muscle aches, fever, etc., and acute or persistent chest pain, shortness of breath, heart palpitations and other suspected symptoms of "myocarditis" and "pericarditis".

MOE reminds that if students experience adverse reactions after being vaccinated on campus or in a medical institution, they can apply for vaccination leave from the school within 3 days from the date of vaccination, which can be extended if it is necessary and no record of absence will be given.

The Department of Health, Taipei City Government stated that students & teaching staff who have not yet received the first dose of vaccines can get vaccinated on campus.

Students above the age of 12, who did not choose to be vaccinated on campus, can make an appointment to get vaccinated at designated clinics & hospitals. Parents or guardians need to accompany the students and adolescents to the contract-based medical institution to complete the vaccination; individuals can get the booster shot after getting fully vaccinated for 5 months.

Besides, the scheduled dates for vaccination will avoid important days such as final exams, the day of school term ends, the General Scholastic Ability Test, and winter vacation.
