To offer proper leisure activities for migrant workers in their free time, the Labor Affairs Bureau of Tainan City Government especially issues "Happily Living in Tainan and Leisure Balance Booklet" in Chinese-foreign languages bilingual format and offers Indonesian, Philipino, Vietnamese, and Thai versions. Besides, to enhance migrant workers' care-taking functions, the Labor Affairs Bureau issues a training booklet, "Care-taking Assistance", in English and Indonesian. All migrant workers and employers in Tainan are welcome to request it or to download the digital version.
The director of the Labor Affairs Bureau, Wang Xinji, states that to take care of and help migrant workers to adapt to the culture of Taiwan as soon as possible, the Labor Affairs Bureau especially issues "Happily Living in Tainan and Leisure Balance Booklet" including the contents of advocacy of laws for migrant workers, leisure culture and food travel in Tainan, basic traveling conversations, general knowledge in daily life, gatekeepers of our true love, applied informations, and the emergency hotline. These pieces of information offer migrant workers an opportunity to experience the local culture of Tainan and to see the beauty of Tainan. Additionally, the booklet has related advocacy information including the reminders of what workers should pay attention when traveling, how to do self-protection, how to relieve and relax when working, and relevant policies explanation, such as "Employment Services Act", "Animal Protection Act", and the contact informations of migrant workers consultation relevant units.
Moreover, many foreign nursing workers had had some problems with communicating when they came to Taiwan at the beginning, and not every worker received comprehensive training. The Labor Affairs Bureau issues the "Care-taking Assistance" training booklet provided for people to download, and it is hoped that the competence of migrant workers can be enhanced effectively.
