For International Museum Day on May 18, Hsinchu City has turned 4 museums and cultural venues into puzzle game sites. The "4-venue real-world puzzle game: complete missions, collect stamps and redeem gifts" runs until December 31. Visitors can go to the Black Bat Squadron Memorial Hall, Hsinchu City Image Museum, Hsinchu City Military Dependents' Village Museum and Jiangjun Village to learn about city history and cultural spaces through missions.
The activity continues the "venue exploration" series and uses 4 separate puzzle game packs. Participants may get a stamp card from venue staff. After completing any venue mission, they can collect a stamp and redeem a badge or souvenir. Those who complete all 4 venues can also redeem a canvas bag, while supplies last.
Each venue has a different theme. The Black Bat Squadron Memorial Hall connects to air force history, the Image Museum presents image culture, the Military Dependents' Village Museum preserves village life, and Jiangjun Village features historic buildings and settlement culture. Through observation, movement and puzzle solving, museum visits become interactive experiences for families, friends or student groups.
The activity is recommended for children in grade 3 and above. Each group should have about 3 to 5 people, and each venue takes about 1.5 hours. Before visiting, people should check game pack borrowing hours. Information and latest venue opening updates are available on the Hsinchu City Cultural Affairs Bureau website or Facebook page.
