To market Kaohsiung City, the Department of Administrative and International Affairs of Kaohsiung City Government planned an event "2019 Share Kaohsiung" for foreign units in Taiwan on December 6, 7.

Centered on "Share Kaohsiung" and combined with municipal construction, local characteristics, technology industry, and folk culture, Kaohsiung City invited the envoys in Taiwan to experience Kaohsiung and held " International Communication Seminar" which was the first one to provide a platform for the envoys and Taiwan's offices to communicate face to face.

The event received great responses from New Zealand Commerce and Industry Office, British Office in Taipei, India Taipei Association, Korea Mission In Taipei, Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, and Thailand Trade and Economic Office. At "International Communication Seminar", Kaohsiung International Marathon, Taiwan International Boat Show, and Global Harbor Cities Forum were also introduced. Simultaneously, the envoys from various countries had a conversation with relevant offices to tighten the relationship and to expand the possibilities of cooperation. Additionally, they also visited the newest construction in Kaohsiung, the green building of Kaohsiung Main Public Library and the VR industrial technology of Brogent Technologies INC., experienced planting White Jade Raddish and making oiled paper umbrellas in Meinong district and Da Shu District, felt the cultural atmosphere of Fo Guang Shan, and got to know Kaohsiung's achievements of constructions and diverse styles.

The acting chief of the Department of Administrative and International Affairs, Cai Yizhen, states that "2019 Share Kaohsiung" was aimed to turn over the past that foreign countries mainly focused on Taipei for communication and to deepen the impression of the urban environment and industrial constructions for foreign envoys. It was expected that Kaohsiung could have firm cooperation with the envoys to enhance the connections between Kaohsiung and international culture
