In order to increase awareness of fraud prevention, the National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior is expected to invite Premier Chen Chien-Jen (陳建仁), Minister of the Ministry of the Interior, Lin Yu-Chang (林右昌) and 40 entertainers to the “Let’s Fight Scams!” press conference (全民防詐-藝起發聲) which will be live-streamed at 2:00 p.m. on May 5th. This day will be designated as the "National Anti-Fraud Launch Day."

Fraud methods has become more prevalent in recent years, and 6 common ways that people are defrauded include fake online auctions, fake investments, cancellation of installment payments, fake police officers, fake love dating, and fake relatives and friends have become common.

Police stations across the country came up with creative publicity campaigns on fraud prevention, attracting public attention and achieving publicity effects on anti-fraud more effectively. 

Well-known entertainers were invited by the Criminal Investigation Division, Taipei City Police Department as anti-fraud ambassadors and shoot promotional videos to explain to the public how to avoid typical fraud schemes like "fake investment" and "fake online auction."

Additionally, the Shilin Precinct, Taipei City Police Department invited well-known anchors, Catherine Chang (張雅琴) to join the anti-fraud campaign. The mayor of Taipei City, Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安), encouraged experts from all spheres of society to work together in spreading the information about the press conference held by National Police Agency and raising public awareness of fraud prevention.

The Fourth Precinct of the Taichung City Police Department created anti-fraud promotional illustrations from the mother's point of view together with anti-fraud slogans to promote "recognizing fraud," "blocking fraud," "preventing fraud," and "punishing fraud" to the public and strengthen the public perception.

On the same day, Tzu Chi and the Nantou County Police Department launched an anti-fraud blood donation campaign, and they also prepared some gifts for the participants.

"“Let’s Fight Scams!” press conference (全民防詐-藝起發聲) will be broadcast live on May 5. Please follow the "NPA Director's Office" or "CIB Director's Office" Facebook pages, as well as the Police Broadcasting Service, National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior.
