On July 19, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (胡志明市人民委員會) held a ceremony at Hsin Shan International Airport (新山一國際機場) to receive donations from the Cambodian government and people to support the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control in Ho Chi Minh City.

The donated epidemic prevention supplies include 1 million medical face masks, 100,000 N95 masks, 100 5-liter oxygen machines and US$200,000.

Speaking at the ceremony, Yang Ying-de (楊英德), vice chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, thanked Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen (洪森), the Royal Government and people of Cambodia for their concern and support for the prevention and control of the epidemic in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam.

 The Ministry of Health Secretary of State of Cambodia (柬埔寨衛生部國務秘書), Ms. Youk Sambath (尤克桑巴) said the traditional friendship between Cambodia and Vietnam has been carefully nurtured and actively promoted by successive leaders of the two countries. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the two countries support each other, demonstrating the friendship of good neighbors and the spirit of solidarity. It is believed that the traditional friendship and good relations between the two countries will continue to develop for the benefit of both countries and contribute to regional and world peace, security and development.
