KSVGH First Cerebral Hemorrhage AI Interpretation System got the Recognition from the US FDA

Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital Originals & Enterprises (KSVGH Originals & Enterprises) assisted the Einstein Artificial Intelligence Company in developing an artificial intelligence (AI) interpretation system for cerebral hemorrhage. It becomes the first artificial intelligence interpretation system in Taiwan that received the FDA certification. This system helps the emergency room physicians quickly, interpret the computerized tomography in patients with cerebral hemorrhage accurately, in order to determine the follow-up treatment quickly, and the accuracy is as high as 95%.

Patients in the emergency room who are admitted to the hospital due the head trauma must be diagnosed by the doctor as soon as possible to arrange for treatment. Otherwise, the patient’s disability and decease are extremely high. However, sometimes there was a situation where it comes to late night or when the shortage of the doctors happen, no one could help the patients to complete the brain CT scan.

In the view of this, KSVGH Originals & Enterprises assisted the Einstein Artificial Intelligence Company in developing an artificial intelligence (AI) interpretation system for cerebral hemorrhage. This system adopts the cloud architecture, the doctor installs the software in the computer, uploads the CT to read, and after being identified, passed it to the cloud platform.

The system usually will complete the interpretation and reply within 30 seconds with the accuracy as high as 95%. In the future, it is expected to become the major aid equipment for the doctors, helping as the doctor’s final interpretation, improve the timeliness and accuracy of the computer tomography interpretation.
