Penghu holds an ecology tour to strengthen new-resident family relationships and reinforce environmental protection to the second generation.
How long have you not enjoyed a vacation with your family in this busy life? Penghu island has been long known for its species-rich ecosystem as well as several places that are suitable for parent-child activities. In order to enhance the relationship between new resident parents and their children, the Integrated New Resident Community Service Center in Huxi Township, Wuhu County, has specially organized a vacation trip to Penghu island.
The event kicked off at 3 pm on June 23 and was led by the staff of the Integrated New Resident Community Service Center. New resident families were taken to the Qingluo Wetland and two tomato farms. The farm owner, Mao Zhenhua, was an immigrant from China. Her job was to manage the farm and catering service. She also hoped to make friends through exotic foods. Since the restaurant was located next to the famous ecological park of Qingluo Wetland, it was expected to call on the public to be aware of nature conservation.
Through the farm owner's explanation on organic irrigation and the wetland ecology, the trip has helped many new resident families to understand more about the meaning of ecology tour as well as bring the cultures of their home country closer to the second generation. Besides, many unique industries of Penghu has been widely promoted, allowing tourists to grasp the concept of cross-culture by sensory stimulation and international ability. The event attracted 50 people to attend.
