To help new immigrants and their children achieve their dreams, the National Immigration Agency has held 10 sessions of the "Dream Building Project for New Immigrants and Their Children," providing scholarships to assist countless new immigrants in realizing their dreams. To enhance the ability of new immigrants to write proposals, the Taoyuan Service Station of the North District Affairs Brigade of the National Immigration Agency recently held a "Dream Building Workshop," inviting winners of the 7th and 10th Dream Building Project, Ms. Chua Choy Ping (from Malaysia) and Ms. Gan Hui Kheng, to share their experience and tips on writing proposals, helping participants get closer to their dreams.

Ms. Chua Choy Ping encouraged participants to start thinking from their childhood dreams and introduced how to set project goals, execute the content, and build a project team. She emphasized that the more team members there are, the greater the strength, and they can discuss and solve problems together. Ms. Gan Hui Kheng reminded participants that project execution should be carried out step by step, and even though the plan may encounter changes, one should not forget the original intention and can seek help from team members to overcome difficulties together.Ms. Chua Choy Ping encourages participants to think about their dreams and shares her experience and tips on writing proposals (Image / Source: Taoyuan Service Station, National Immigration Agency)

After listening to the speakers, participants eagerly went on stage to share their initial dream project ideas. Ms. Do Kim Hoan, a new immigrant from Vietnam, plans to participate in the "Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development Group." She hopes to address the environmental issues at the rear station of Taoyuan Train Station. The area is lined with shops and crowded with tourists, but food packaging bags, paper boxes, and drink bottles are often discarded carelessly, causing environmental pollution. Her dream is to lead new immigrants and migrant workers to clean up the area, raise environmental awareness among shop owners and tourists, and turn the collected PET bottles into reusable tools.

The Director of the Taoyuan Service Station, Huang Yinggui, stated that this workshop helped new immigrant participants understand how to write proposals and realize their dreams. For more information about the Dream Building Project, please refer to the:
