The July issue of Taipei Pictorial, published by the Taipei City Government Tourism and Information Department, features the theme "A Century of Modern Taipei." Through a series of activities and historical retrospectives, it showcases Taipei's rich development history from past to present. This issue specially invites Taipei City Cultural Affairs Commissioner Tsai Shih-ping to start from Beimen, guiding readers to explore Taipei's cultural landscape. Through various activities such as films, comics, fashion, and historical site tours, the public can deeply understand the city's century-long transformation.

Iconic buildings from different eras, such as the Presidential Office, National Taiwan Museum, Zhongshan Hall, National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, Taipei 101, and Taipei Performing Arts Center, reflect the ideologies and urban images of their times. Architectural scholar Li Qingzhi uses these buildings as coordinates to delve into Taipei's architectural style and development trajectory. These buildings not only witness Taipei's history but also become important symbols of urban development. The Taipei Pictorial magazine features "A Century of Modern Taipei" as its theme, exploring how Taipei has evolved into a contemporary and diverse city through changes in fashion styles. Fashion is also an important element reflecting the changes of the times. Fashion historian Yeh Li-cheng shares in this issue the evolution of Taiwan's fashion styles and industry over the past century. From traditional Chinese robes to Western suits and today's diverse styles, Taipei's fashion evolution showcases the aesthetic values and social consciousness of different eras. As Taiwan's political and economic center, Taipei is the best stage to observe this evolution.

In the height of summer, Taipei City launches a variety of exciting activities for citizens and tourists to enjoy the city's scenery. Events such as the Taipei Water Festival, Taipei Children's Arts Festival, and night explorations at the Taipei Zoo will be held successively, while the Dadaocheng Summer Festival, featuring music and fireworks, is a summer event not to be missed. These activities not only enrich the summer lives of citizens but also inject more vitality into Taipei.
