Kainan University, in collaboration with Minshi TV, will host the "2025 New Immigrant News Training Camp" from Tuesday, January 21 to Thursday, January 23, 2025. This program is supervised by the National Immigration Agency and funded by the New Immigrant Development Fund. It is specifically designed for high school and university-level children of new immigrants who are interested in the fields of broadcasting, news production, and media communications. The camp will accept 35 participants, and it is completely free of charge, including meals and accommodation.
Diverse Curriculum and Hands-On Professional Experience
The three-day training camp will take place at Minshi Digital Media Headquarters and the Department of Film and Communication at Kainan University, offering a comprehensive and professional program, including:
★News Broadcast Experience: Participants will practice reading news in Minshi TV's broadcast studio for the program “We Are Family – Taiwan’s New Power”, gaining insight into the news production process.
★Professional Instruction: Experienced Minshi anchors and senior reporters will conduct lectures, sharing industry insights and introducing Metaverse Virtual Studio technology to broaden participants' perspectives.
★Interviewing and Practical Training: Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants will learn to write scripts, conduct interviews, and engage in hands-on news reporting. They will take on various roles such as directors, camera operators, audio engineers, and anchors to deepen their media expertise.
★Final Presentation – Launching Future Talent:
The camp will conclude with a final presentation where participants will complete editing, post-production, and voiceovers for their projects. Outstanding works will be awarded certificates of recognition, and top-performing participants may be recommended to take part in Minshi programs or news productions, laying a foundation for future careers in media.

★Registration Process: Fill out the application form, provide a personal background, and state your motivation for joining. Applicants must submit proof of identity as children of new immigrants. Minshi TV and Kainan University will conduct the selection process, with priority given to those who have not previously participated. The program is free, and participants are responsible for arriving at Minshi headquarters. Meals and accommodation are provided.
