Changhua County Government launched the "English Education Summer Camp", 34 foreign teachers lead children to speak English!

To enable children to have the learning competitiveness internationally, the Changhua County Government (彰化縣政府) specially selected 100 university students in relevant disciplines during the summer vacation, and specially introduced 34 foreign English teachers to serve as English clubs’ instructors of AI education using online interactive teaching in the lower grades of elementary schools in the county.

Changhua County Magistrate Wang Huimei (彰化縣長王惠美) said that special planning should be implemented during the summer vacation. The 2021 summer work and study plan for young students at Changhua County colleges and universities will select 100 college students to serve as instructors for 74 English clubs in elementary schools to learn English interactively online. Wang Hui-mei (王惠美) also encouraged schoolchildren to speak English bravely, interact more and play games with foreign teachers.

Wang Hui-mei also pointed out that the course contents of these clubs include interesting English learning experiences, simple English words, singing, picture books storytelling, etc., and is more integrated into basic AI courses. She believes that the 34 foreign English teachers will lead the students to learn foreign languages, which will help reach Taiwan's "2030 Bilingual Country" policy goal.

In addition, schools at all levels are about to start in September. Changhua County Magistrate Wang Hui-mei said that teachers and staff have been vaccinated, and the country’s confirmed COVID-19 cases are in single digits or even zero. She is optimistic about the start of school as scheduled and hopes that parents will also follow epidemic prevention regulations so that children can go to school with peace of mind.
