The school year 111 New Immigrants and their Children’s Development and Scholarship (Incentive) Program recipients were revealed by National Immigration Agency. Many pwinners are multi-talented, excel in sports, music, art, and dance in addition to their academics, and have received widespread acclaim from many walks of life.
The recipient of this round's Special Talent Scholarships, Chen Ping-xuan (陳屏瑄), is a senior at Ping Rong High School. Her mother teaches in the elementary school, while her father is from Indonesia. Her parents raised her with empathy and independence so that she will be able to give back to society in the future. She has been exposed to dancing since she was a young girl and has performed for charitable causes. In high school, she competed in the National Student Dancing Competition and achieved good results, providing strength to the community. Childcare is a subject that interests Chen a lot. She aspires to combine her passion for dancing with teaching youngsters’ rhythm in the future in order to foster their healthy development.

Lai Yi-jun (賴宜君), a National Lo-Tung Senior High School graduate, also has a mother from Cambodia and was raised with the help of her father and older brother. When her brother joined the rowing squad in middle school, Lai also developed a passion for the sport and did likewise. She was eventually chosen as a member of the national squad in the Asian Rowing Junior Championships & Cup after receiving training from the Asian Youth Training squad. Lai aspires to get admitted to the National Taiwan Sport University, advance her academic credentials, and follow her own aspirations.
Depending on the category, Special Talent Scholarships might range from NT$5,000 to NT$10,000, according to National Immigration Agency. Many some of the children of new immigrants kindly offer their bonus to the community to aid those who are in much greater need. NIA aspires for the children of new immigrants to keep their passion for study, take on obstacles with courage, and pursue greatness in order to realize their aspirations for the future.
