To promote family bonding, the Keelung City Government combined the "iTaiwan 2.0 Sports Project" with a fun-filled family sports day at the National Taiwan Ocean University’s small boat dock. The event attracted around 60 enthusiastic participants, including both adults and children, who took part in water relay races and enjoyed precious family moments together.

Yang Gui-Jie, the Acting Director of the Keelung City Department of Education, stated that the fun sports day was conducted as a parent-child relay race, with several enjoyable stages designed for families to have fun together while engaging in water activities. From the first stage of "Swimming Forward with Life Jackets," to the second stage of "Hand Paddling on Stand-Up Paddleboards (SUP)," the third stage of "Parent-Child Canoeing," and the fourth stage of "Team Dragon Boat Rowing," each stage required close cooperation among family members to complete the challenges. This not only tested everyone's physical abilities but also strengthened teamwork within the family.

Mr. Yin, one of the participants and a fan of water sports, said, "My children grew up in Keelung, and every summer, I make it a point to participate in activities like this. This water sports event made the kids very happy and gave us more time together—it's a rare and valuable opportunity."The fun sports day was held as a parent-child relay race, where the entire family enjoyed water activities together. Mayor Hsieh Kuo-Liang mentioned that in the coming month, Keelung City will host more exciting family activities, such as the Parent-Child Dragon Boat Race on July 20 and the "Water Sports Carnival" on August 17, which are excellent choices for family participation. These activities not only allow children to experience different sports but also teach the importance of water safety.

After the event, all participants received souvenirs to take home as a memento of the wonderful experience. The Keelung City Government hopes that through family activities like this, every family can find joy in sports and deepen their emotional connections through teamwork.
