CECC announces conditional free inspection for nationals visiting Southeast Asia

Due to the impact that COVID-19 border control measures, many countries including Indonesian, Thai, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Bangal have issued flight bans on foreign visitors. However, a few nationals have still had personal reasons to visit the following countries.

Owing to humanitarian considerations and nationals' emergency demands, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) has announced the conditional free inspection that requires inbound nationals who have visited Southeast Asia to complete the COVID-19 Health Declaration and Home Quarantine Notice and confirm if their residence satisfies the home quarantine requirements before boarding. For relevant detailed information, please go to "醫療照護機構感染管制相關指引".

The CECC has designated 7 national hospitals to provide free inspection services, including National Taiwan University Hospital (Taipei), Far Eastern Memorial Hospital (Taipei), Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (Taoyuan), China Medical University Hospital (Taichung), National Cheng Kung University Hospital (Tainan), Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has worked with the CECC to raise the travel alert to "red" and advised nationals to avoid going abroad if not necessary, the MOFA stated.
