  • NIA launches a program to offer free tablet or laptop rental services for new immigrants

The National Immigration Agency has been launching a program (保障新住民寬頻上網計畫) to provide new immigrants free laptop and tablet rentals since July 13 of this year. To get an application form, new immigrants can book an appointment using the special line or visit the NIA's service centers in counties and cities. The laptop or tablet will be supplied to the residence once the application is approved.

  • Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf summer series of events feature seven sessions of water dance performances

The Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf summer series of events (2023淡水漁人碼頭仲夏繽紛樂), which are co-hosted by the Fisheries and Fishing Port Affairs Management Office, the New Taipei City Government, and the Tamsui Fisherman's Association, began on the evening of July 22nd and will go through September 16th. Additionally, a special water dance performance for lovers will be place on August 22nd, which is Chinese Valentine's Day.

  • Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli and Yilan-Hualien-Taitung monthly pass plans are expected to be officially launched in October

Nine monthly pass programs were approved in the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli living circle, Yilan County, and Hualien County by the Directorate General of Highways, MOTC, after the announcement of the TPASS commuter monthly pass program review. The implementation date is set for October 1. The plans from Chiayi County and New Taipei City also didn't pass the review because they didn't incorporate counties and cities into the living circle and were too skewed toward a small-scale regional model, which didn't meet the criteria for inter-regional and inter-public transportation transfers.

  • Keelung-Taipei-New Taipei-Taoyuan Sightseeing Tour Card features 30 well-known tourist attractions with discounts

The "Keelung-Taipei-New Taipei-Taoyuan Sightseeing Tour Card" (基北北桃景點暢遊卡) will be jointly introduced in August by Keelung, Taipei, New Taipei, and Taoyuan. Four cities have chosen 30 well-known tourist attractions together, and package tickets for two to four days have been introduced. Sales are anticipated to begin on August 1.
