The Tourism Administration declared that it will introduce the "Golden Years" accreditation the next year in an effort to provide top-notch tours that adhere to standards for physical fitness, senior-friendly lodging, and other factors.

The Tourism Administration's deputy director predicted that as the population ages and the birthrate declines, seniors would increasingly make up a large portion of the traveler base. The Tourism Administration noted that eight travel companies and eleven new tourist routes have been developed recently, and more are anticipated to open in the following year. The production value of senior tourism will rise by 10% to 20% when travel agencies participate.

In an effort to draw Filipino travelers to the Golden Years trip, the Tourism Department also extended a special invitation to Filipino influencer Gen to participate in a promotional film wherein she experienced the cozy tour offered by Golden Years.
