To practice social care, realize the concept of social equity and justice, and help more disadvantaged students, the K-12 Education Administration, Ministry of Education (MOE) launched the “education savings account” and encouraged nationwide schools to set up special accounts.
Through the public fund-raising online platform, donations were channeled into helping low-income households, low-middle-income households, families with sudden accidents, or other special circumstances of underprivileged students to receive an education. Combining the power of the public and government agencies, the goal of equal educational opportunities is achieved.

The “education savings account” has been promoted for 10 years, and it has assisted students who are unable to afford tuition fees, miscellaneous fees, agency fees, meals, and education-related expenses. Being publicized by the schools through the education savings account, students in need (students brought up by grandparents or single parents, immigrant children, and Indigenous people’s children) will be able to receive help from the public.
