National Immigration Agency (Nantou County Service Center) held a talk to explain how immigrants can apply for incentives through obtaining a Technician Certificate, attracting about 30 immigrants to participate. Besides, immigrants who do not know how to use computers well are also assisted after the talk.

To provide encouragement and help to outstanding & underprivileged immigrants and their children, National Immigration Agency (NIA) offers incentives for those who manage to get a Technician Certificate. This is to nurture their special talents and improve their competencies and remain employable. The application for the “The Scholarship Program for Immigrants & their Children (新住民及其子女培力與獎助學金計畫)” is from 14 February to 14 March 2022.

People holding Class A, B, or C of a Technician Certificate within 3 years from now (2019, 2020, 2021 academic year), can sign up here. Afterward, download and leave a signature on the application form, attach the relevant documents, and mail it to the Ministry of the Interior National Immigration Agency or send it in person before the deadline.

Cai Chong Fu (蔡崇富), the Director of Nantou County Service Center, mentioned that there are various awards, including underprivileged & outstanding scholarships, special talent awards, president's education awards program, and immigrant’s certificate awards. Those eligible are encouraged to apply through schools or individually. For more information about this program, please check the official website of NIA and IFI Network.
