Many Google users have recently received scam letters in the mail, and even apps from the Google Play store have been infiltrated by malicious software. An information security company's researchers have found the "Fleckpe" Trojan horse malware concealed in 11 applications. Following user download, the Trojan horse infection will benefit from unapproved monthly or one-time paid service subscriptions. Many users don't know their money has been taken until they receive their telecom bills and see the sudden increase in additional costs.

A Trojan horse malware named "Fleckpe" has been active in the Google Play Store since 2022 and was finally discovered by researchers from a security company. The malware disguised in a variety of popular apps, such as beauty cameras, photo editing or wallpaper apps, etc. More than 620,000 downloads of camera-related applications have been made overall.

Beauty Camera Plus, Beauty Photo Camera, Beauty Slimming Photo Editor, Fingertip Graffiti, GIF Camera Editor, HD 4K Wallpaper, Impressionism Pro Camera, Microclip Video Editor, Night Mode Camera Pro, Photo Camera Editor, and Photo Effect Editor are among the 11 apps that have been infected by the Trojan horse virus. The public is reminded to examine the downloaded apps to see whether any of these Trojan horse malwares are there, and the Google Play store has been taken the apps mentioned above off the market. Additionally, Android users are urged to be extra cautious while downloading apps.
