  Ministry of the Interior-Pilot Program for Mobile Phone Binding with Citizen Digital Certificates-E-finger to Get It Done

  The Ministry of the Interior announced today (24th) that it will expand the trial service for in-person applications for mobile national ID cards starting immediately. Citizens only need to bring their mobile phones to any of the 24 household registration offices nationwide to apply for a mobile national ID card at a cost of NT$30. This service eliminates the need to carry physical cards, allowing people to use their phones for online identity verification, digital signatures, and encryption services anytime. The Ministry of the Interior plans to fully implement this service nationwide at household registration offices starting November 25, achieving the goal of "carry your ID, enhance digital life."The Ministry of the Interior announced that citizens only need to bring their mobile phones to any of the 24 household registration offices nationwide to apply for a mobile Citizen Digital Certificate on-site.(Photo / Screenshot from the Internet)According to the Information Services Division of the Ministry of the Interior, the service was trialed starting on June 24 at 24 household registration offices. Citizens can apply for a personal chip IC card costing NT$250 and register it with their mobile phones at the household registration offices or through self-registration. They are also accepted for small-value purchases at four major convenience store chains, Taipei Zoo, Children's New Paradise, and other outlets, integrating with the EasyWallet e-wallet for automatic top-ups. Additionally, participating in educational programs is an excellent way to increase adaptability.
