According to the SUNSTAR, the Cebu Provincial Government has received donations from the Taiwanese government for families who have been displaced by Typhoon Odette (Rai).
Within the relief supply, there are two boxes of plywood from Taiwan that would aid in the reconstruction of homes damaged by the typhoon that hit the province on Thursday, December 16, 2021. The new Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) chairman, Wilfredo B. Fernandez, received the aid on behalf of Cebu.

These donations were among the more over 100 metric tons of humanitarian supplies delivered by Taiwan to Odette-affected families in the Philippines. On the January 16, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tien Chung-kwang (田中光) presided over a send-off dubbed "Love from Taiwan." Later, the relief supplies have arrived at Cebu's port on February 8.

Nature Kids for Siargao Association Inc. (NKSA), a non-governmental organization focused on community development, received the emergency supplies from Meco.
Most of the supplies were intended for the disaster victims on Siargao Island, who had suffered the most because of Odette.
In a press statement, NKSA President Michael Cancio expressed his gratitude to Taiwan for its generosity and love on behalf of residents of Siargao Island and Cebu, calling it the largest donation to date.
