Since October, the Taoyuan City Government has organized the "2023 Taoyuan Shopping Festival" with the goal of encouraging consumption. To its credit, the event has drawn a sizable number of attendees and positive reviews. Because of this, the Taoyuan City Government said that it will work with 47 travel and lodging businesses to hold a lottery that will run through the end of December.

According to the Taoyuan City Government, in an effort to highlight Taoyuan's first-rate hotels and lodging (桃園好棧), visitors can visit any one of the city's 47 hotels or lodging establishments to receive a variety of gifts and an additional double draw from the festival's special stores, in addition to taking part in the Taoyuan Shopping Festival and entering to win big prizes.

According to the Department of Tourism, anyone can register as a member on the official "Taoyuan Shopping Festival" website, log in to the invoice, and receive the lottery number to play in the lottery as long as they have a physical store registered in Taoyuan City between August 1 and December 31, 2023, with a single purchase amount of more than NT$300.
