  • Kaohsiung City launched emergency prevention and control as 11 cases of local dengue fever outbreaks

As of June 17, 11 cases of dengue fever have been reported in Rende District, Tainan.

As a shared living region, Kaohsiung City has carried out a thorough cleansing of the dengue fever and control environment and requests the public's active cooperation in order to stop the virus' spread. In Kaohsiung City, more than 500 dengue fever contract clinics that offer NS1 quick screening reagents. People with symptoms should seek for medical treatment and quick screening as soon as possible.

  • Southeast Asian artists share the diverse arts of the Mekong River at “Not Getting Lost in Action” International Forum

The International Forum “Not Getting Lost in Action” was held in Taipei a few days ago.

Outstanding artists from Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam were invited to participate and share their experiences. Artists share their experience in interdisciplinary creation including visual, performing arts, and community participation. It is hoped that this will inspire the audience to discuss important issues in art and society.

  • Kaohsiung Kite Festival features an air cushion water park this summer!

The Cijin Kite Festival this year will be held form July 22nd to August 6th. And activities will be held for three consecutive weeks in order to allow more tourists to experience Kaohsiung Cijin Kite Festival. The Kite Festival this year included six enormous air cushion water park facilities for the kids to play. The tourism bureau also expects that the Kite Festival would promote tourism and boost local spending.
