Lithuania and Taiwan share universal values such as freedom, democracy, and human rights. They are also on the strategic front line in defending a free and democratic system, and they are seriously cooperating in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. In 2020, Taiwan donated 100,000 medical masks to Lithuania to help fight the epidemic. This time Lithuania extended a helping hand to Taiwan in time when there was a shortage in vaccine supply, warming the hearts of 23.5 million Taiwanese people, and deepening the friendship between the two countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA, 外交部) expects that Taiwan and Lithuania will continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges in various fields after the establishment of mutual offices in the future, to jointly enhance the friendship and well-being of the people of both countries.
