Foreigners or new immigrants who is legally employed or enrolled in school in Taichung City may register individually or as a team for the "ASEAN Good Voice" singing contest, which is sponsored by the Labor Affairs Bureau of the Taichung City Government, which will be held in Taichung Park on the afternoon of August 20.

According to the Labor Affairs Bureau, Taichung City has the second-highest population of migrant workers in Taiwan. As a result, the bureau plans to hold a singing contest to give migrant workers and new immigrants a platform to showcase their abilities and interpret various cultures through song.

The director of the Labor Affairs Bureau noted that NT$8,000 gift vouchers and special incentives would be given out to promote participation by nationals and migrant workers alike. New immigrants and migrant workers are also invited to participate.
