Miaoli - "Multicultural care" – A new force to support the elder generation 2.0

The New Residents Family Service Center in Miaonan District of Miaoli County has cooperated with the Elderly Care Service Centers of Changyi Station in Sanyi, Yuanli, Xihu and Gongguan to invite new residents to take part in a community event called "Multicultural care" and share the multiculturalism to the elderly in local communities.

Miaoli is known for its large Hakka population. In recent years, in addition to the development of the Hakka comunity, Miaoli County has become a melting pot of different ethnic groups such as the aborigines and new residents. However, no matter what ethnic group we belong to, we will get old as time goes by. In order to implement the concept of aging policy, the authority will offer instant care for the seniors of 2.0 generation, actively popularize and enrich the community's resources for centers of elderly care as long as provide the best service to the elderly.

The event will be held on July 9th, July 18th, July 19th, July 24th from 9:30am to 11:30am in Miaoli County Local Culture and Humanities Development Association, Love You Home Care Service, West Lake Health Center and the Academic  Pharmaceutical Buddhist Association Fo Liuli, and invite new resident lecturers to handle multicultural discussion topics and new residents' rights, domestic violence and gender equality, thereby enhancing the international vision of the elderly care service and accepting different ethnic customs, eliminating discrimination, increasing the participation of new residents in social services, and making good use of their own advantages to integrate into life inTaiwan.

Miaoli County welcomes the public, especially the elders to participate. Seats are limited.
