The NIA Nantou County Service Center recently organized a “New Immigrant Family Education and Law Dissemination course.” The theme of the course is “Managing Mental Health.” The course includes Mental Health Management courses and horticultural therapy courses for new immigrants. The course is held in partnership with the Health Bureau of Nantou County Government. And Dr. Huang Yu-Da, Director of the Department of Clinical Psychology at the Tsaotun psychiatric center, was invited to teach the course. Dr. Huang has a lot of clinical experience, and he has also done much research in the depression and mental health field. In the course, Dr. Huang carefully teaches people depression and mental health and introduces ways to ask for help.

As for the horticultural therapy course, Chen Miao man introduced horticultural therapy, and how to make homemade herbal tea. The “New Immigrant Family Education and Law Dissemination course” is a monthly course held by NIA. The course includes themes such as marriage, family, parenting, and health. The course invites professional speakers to share professional knowledge. And interpretation services are included. New immigrants are welcome to join the course.
