Over the following days, up to May 4, ‘Manhattanhenge’ will be visible at the Emei Street area and on Zhongxiao East and West Roads before sunset, the Central Weather Bureau forecasted. The sun will be positioned on Zhongxiao East and West Roads from April 29 to May 1, and from May 2 to May 4, the sun will show up at the Emei Street area. Taipei City Police Department foresaw that there will be crowds visiting and photographing, to manage the traffic, the police department has particularly assigned police officers to undertake traffic dispersion on Zhongxiao East and West Roads and the Emei Street to protect pedestrians' safety.
Taipei City Police Department reminded the public to pay attention to traffic signals and avoid violating traffic rules. Zhongzheng First Precinct not only strongly publicized traffic regulations but control traffic flows at the overpass of Zhongxiao East Road to ensure pedestrians' safety. It also asked members of the public not to use tripods to occupy the overpass. If any individual violates the rules, his or her tripod will be confiscated according to Article 82 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act.
