Tseng Pei Hsuan (曾珮瑄) is a next-generation new immigrant studying at JianGuo Junior High School in Miaoli County (苗栗縣建國中學). Tseng was chosen into the “7th Dream Building Program for New Immigrants and their Children” by NIA, together with her mother Phung Thi Anh (逢氏英), classmates Zhang wen ci (張玟慈) and Deng Hui Yun (鄧惠云), and under the guidance of teacher Huang Chiu Hsiang (黃秋香).
They plan to film six trails in Miaoli with the theme “Shadow the New Footprints on Old Roads”(影出古道新足跡). Tseng says, “It is very meaningful for me to produce this video with my mother who is from Vietnam.”
Tseng and her classmates wish to let more and more people see the beauty of the trails in Miaoli. During this program, Tseng and her team learned how to film and edit videos with a professional teacher. The video is filmed in Chinese and Vietnamese, and afterwards, the film is shared on t different social platforms, aiming to let more and more people learn about the trails in Miaoli.
Instructor Huang Chiu Hsiang mentions that Tseng and her classmates have put a lot of effort in this video. She also thanks the school for its support and encouragement. Teacher Huang Chiu Hsiang has guided students twice in the Dream Building Program in the past. This time, she also guided students into the Dream Building Program, hence she can be regarded as an important guidance of new immigrant related programs.
