Daya Precinct, Taichung City Police Department presented the ‘110 Annual Promotion of Police Work and Commendation Ceremony for Civil Defense and Volunteer Officers’. One of the volunteers is Su Yue Yang (蘇岳陽), a new immigrant from Nepal, who has been serving as a volunteer for 8 years and he expressed his strong love for Taiwan.

Su, who has been residing in Taiwan for more than 20 years, opened a Nepal Art Shop with his Taiwanese wife Yao Hui Ling (姚惠玲) in Taichung City. Su has naturalized as a Taiwan national. Besides work, he is also enthusiastic about promoting public welfare and organized the ‘Taiwan Nepal Association’, and cultural exchange activities that enable Taiwanese to know more about Nepal’s culture.

Moreover, Su also participated in community services. He started serving as a volunteer eight years ago and actively participated in service works. Many police and volunteers who have worked with him said that he really loves Taiwan very much.

The Daya Precinct stated that the civil defense and volunteer police sacrificed their personal time with their families to help the police maintain security and transportation safety.
