The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced the extension of the nationwide level 2 alert from August 24 to September 6. Since the level downgrade, more and more people are going to the National Immigration Agency (NIA) to process their applications.

The NIA in cooperation with the Executive proposed the "Mobile Payment Policy" where the public can process their payments using credit card or mobile payment. There is no need to use cash and this also reduces the risk of transmitting diseases among users.

The NIA encourages the public to utilize these mobile payment functions so there is no need to visit the service stations physically. These measures are implemented in order to protect the public and to fight against the epidemic in Taiwan.
