Many overseas Chinese students choose to stay in Taiwan after graduation because of its friendly environment and the life in Taiwan.
This year, the Overseas Chinese Education Program of Kaoshiung City's Chung-Shan Industrial & Commercial School (CSIC) awarded 4 foreign students double Level-B certificates. The principal of CSIC said that students must first obtain the third-grade certificate before moving onto the second grade. The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) issued certificates for higher vocational overseas students to encourage them to cultivate their skills. After graduation, they can also apply to stay in Taiwan through the "rating quota system (評點配額制)".
One of the Indonesian overseas students, Wu Yung-pao 吳永保, came to Taiwan and joined the program because he wanted to learn Chinese. According to one of the instructors, Wu is very serious with his studies. Wu has currently obtained the double Level-B certificates for Electronic Instruments and Computer Maintenance courses. His TOEIC score is also 955. Wu plans to cultivate his technical skills at the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE) at the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST).

Among 4 students, 2 Vietnamese overseas students Ho Pao-lung 何保龍 and Huang Mei-jung 黃美蓉 also received the double Level-B certificates. Huang aims to achieve the double Level-B license for Computer Maintenance before graduation.
These outstanding students will grow in the specialized fields after graduation regardless if they stay in Taiwan or return to their home countries.
