In response to the global resurgence of COVID-19 infections and the continued spread of the Omicron variant in Taiwan, the end date of the “Carefree Covid-19 Vaccination Program” will be rescheduled. The exact date is to be confirmed.
The program emphasizes 4 principles, including “won’t be reported”, “won’t be seized”, “won’t be charged for any fee”, and “won’t be banned”.
In addition, NIA has launched multilingual videos to promote the program. Bill Chung (鐘景琨), the Director of NIA, is appealing to foreign nationals to get vaccinated as soon as possible. A video and broadcast are also available for the public to have a better understanding of the policy.

NIA stated that from now until a date to be confirmed, regardless of whether individuals are unaccounted-for workers or overstayers, everyone is eligible for a free vaccination. More importantly, one will not get investigated, reported, or banned from entering Taiwan in the future. Hence, foreigners should get vaccinated as soon as possible to protect themselves as well as others.

NIA promotes the “Carefree Covid-19 Vaccination Program” by assisting in arranging vaccination appointments for foreigners at designated medical institutions, as well as the tabulation of names, and promoting the program. It is hoped that foreign nationals will be able to get vaccinated with peace of mind.
NIA emphasized the end date is rescheduled and to be confirmed. Vaccination services are also provided in Taipei City and New Taipei City. Immigrants are encouraged to make use of the holidays and get vaccinated soon.
