Only 4 days after the opening of the Tokyo Olympics (東京奧運), the Taiwan delegation performed very well. The Taiwanese athletes maintained the momentum of earning medals every day. At present, they have won 1 gold, 2 silvers and 3 bronzes, breaking the 2004 "Athens Olympic barrier" and number of medals won became the best in Taiwan’s history. The Taiwanese men’s archery team won silver in the Archery Men’s Team Competition on July 26. In addition, the table tennis "golden mixed doubles" Lin Yun-ju (林昀儒) and Cheng Yi-ching (鄭怡靜) joined hands to defeat France. the Olympic delegation scored 1 silver and 1 bronze in a single day.

The Taiwanese delegation at the Tokyo Olympics made a big boost on July 27, relying on "the goddess of weightlifting" Kuo Wei-chun (郭婞淳) to win the first gold medal in the women's weightlifting 59kg class, and the dark horse Chen Wen-hui (陳玟卉) in the women's weightlifting 64kg class, earning 1 gold and 1 bronze in a single day. Only 4 days after the start of the game, the Taiwan team has accumulated 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze. The 6 medals are not only the most in Taiwan’s history, but also the Taiwan team jumped to the 13th place in the Tokyo Olympics medal list.

As for the "Taiwan Butterfly King" (台灣蝶王), Wang Kuan-hung appeared in the men's 200-meter butterfly preliminaries, finishing in 1 minute and 54.44 seconds, breaking the national record of 1 minute and 54.77 seconds set in the National Intercollegiate Athletic Games (大專校院運動會) in 2021, and ranked second in the overall ranking to successfully advance to the semi-finals. At the same time, Wang Kuan-hung's results on July 26 also surpassed the "rival" Japanese swimmer Tomoru Honda's (本多灯) 1 minute and 54.59 seconds in the Japan Open, the best time of the season in Asia.

On the same day, First Bank's weightlifter Chen Wen-hui (陳玟卉) won the women's 64kg bronze medal with 103 kg snatch, 127 kg clean and jerk, and a total of 230 kg. The Taiwan team scored 1 gold and 1 bronze in a single day, and the current number of medals won is 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze, which is the best in Taiwan’s history.
