  • Summary of free activities across Taiwan during the 4-day National Day holiday

The four-day National Day holiday comes just after the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.

All around Taiwan, many events have begun, such as the "National Day Fireworks" in Taichung, the "Taiwan Design Expo" and "North Coast International Kite Festival" in New Taipei City and light and shadow art show, "Dancing of Light and Shadows” in Chiayi City and Kaohsiung's "Kaohsiung Hot-Air Balloon Festival."

  • New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program expands recruitment with representatives attend the opening ceremony

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been operating Taiwan's New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program since last year to carry out the talent exchange.

This year, it invited 4 school representatives and 70 students from 8 New Southbound target countries, including Thailand and Indonesia, to participate.

Representatives from Malaysia, Vietnam, and India in Taiwan were also invited to the opening ceremony, as were representatives from the Office of Trade Negotiations of the Executive Yuan.

  • Rerum Novarum Center organizes Taipei international Zentangle art exhibition at the MRT Daan Forest Park Station

Rerum Novarum Center organized the fifth "Taipei international Zentangle art exhibition" this year at MRT Daan Forest Park Station, with more than 60 paintings on display, to increase public awareness of migrant workers.

In addition to producing paintings for the exhibition, the migrant workers also planned dance performances in the hopes that the public would get more familiar with their hometown's culture.
