The Taipei Employment Services Office will host a collaborative talent recruiting event with manufacturers on November 24 from 1 to 4 pm on the first floor of Taipei Main Station in an effort to address the labor shortage issue and find talent for businesses. There will be invitations from several renowned worldwide hotel groups. A total of 26 firms will take part in the catering groups, and it is anticipated that 1,250 employment opportunities would be created, with some paying as much as NT$60,000 per month.
The number of customers in the catering, tourist, and lodging industries swiftly recovered from the pandemic, according to the Director of Department of Labor, Taipei City Government. However, as year-end schedules increased, the need for labor grew even more pressing. The companies offer several job openings that "require no work experience at all" and boosts salary to more than NT$40,000 in addition to improving salaries, benefits, education, and training, as well as fortifying a positive work environment.

Apart from the catering sector, hotels are also hiring for a wide range of positions, such as food critics, pastry chefs, SPA aromatherapists, lifeguards at swimming pools, engineering specialists, concierge services, customer service coordinators, etc.
