The nominees for the 58th Golden Bell Awards have been made public. The fact that there are many more nominated programs this year than in previous years with the theme of new immigrants which demonstrates the increased priority that Taiwan's media places on the promotion of multiculturalism. This year's nomination also demonstrates the high caliber of production that goes into new immigrant publications and radio shows produced by them.
This year, according to the chairman (陳清河) of the jury committee for the Golden Bell Awards, there are more original programs competing, and the broadcasting sector has also hired many newbies. Voices, material, inventiveness, etc. have all significantly grown. There are additional programs available for new immigrants in addition to Mandarin, Taiwanese, and Hakka, which is a positive development.

The National Education Radio, which was nominated for 29 prizes, is also the biggest winner this year, followed by the Police Broadcasting Station with 11 nominations. On Saturday, October 14, at 7 p.m., the National Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall will host the 58th Golden Bell Awards Ceremony.
