With the second-generation children of new immigrants slowly growing up, they will face issues when they enter school or employment, so, training programs are provided for them to enhance their life experiences and develop their abilities. Children of new immigrants are welcome to sign up.

With the theme of "New World Sherlock Holmes" (新世界福爾摩斯), the training program was held at the Penghu branch of the Kaohsiung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station (高雄區農業改良場澎湖分場). Through visits and simulated practical experience, they learned about the expertise of each job position, the nature of the work, and the efforts behind it. The activities include the implementation of agricultural products processing, the actual experience in the processing of agricultural products from raw materials to finished products, transforming raw materials into another flavor, and understanding the sales and work involved in rural agricultural products, so that the second-generation children of new immigrants can experience a variety of professional and personal learning experiences, develop skills, and gain a sense of accomplishment.

The Social Affairs Department of the Penghu County Government (澎湖縣政府社會處) stated that the registration period is from now until August 25 or until the quota is full, and the activities on August 27 is for the second-generation children of new immigrants. This activity will give priority to the children of new immigrants as main participants (from the third grade of elementary school to senior high school), but all other school children in the county will be allowed to participate.
