Online New Immigrant Language Teacher Recruitment: Begins on July 3

Schools at all levels in New Taipei City were suspended and switched to online learning amid the Covid-19 outbreak. New immigrant language teachers are now known for their online teaching programs while they work from home. Recruitment for teachers will be until June 22 and results will be announced on July 3.

New immigrant language teachers promote online learning during the epidemic, and they also developed flexible and interactive teaching materials. The New Taipei City International Education, New Immigrants Language Counseling Group (新北市國教輔導團新住民語文輔導小組) guides teachers in 9 districts. Thew immigrant teachers are enthusiastic about engaging in this digital teaching experience.

New Taipei City Education Bureau director Chang Ming-wen (張明文) said the selection of new immigrant languages will be adjusted according to the changes in the epidemic. On-site registration will be reviewed through the mail. Staff can also work via telephone, LINE, or fax. Some elementary schools have already devised "online distribution" plans along with audio and video instructions, and also a LINE group dedicating to group counseling (scan the QR code to join).

Applicants are qualified as long as they are available and equipped as online teachers for the following school year. For more information regarding registration, please contact the New Taipei City International Education Website.
