The evaluation criteria include the crime rate, the safety of nighttime and daytime strolling, if residents have ever been verbally or physically abused by strangers, insulted, or harassed, and whether they have been unprovoked physical attacked by aspects like skin tone, racial identity, or gender. The rating of the cities is based on a scale of 0 to 100. Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, came in top, followed by the capitals of Qatar in second and third. Doha, Ajman, and Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, came in fourth with a combined score of 84.8.
